Fun Facts
If Elya was a scented candle she would be called “Old Curiosity Shop” and it would smell like buttercream frosting, antiques, and neroli.
She has a minor in Gender Studies and in college practiced teaching youth about politically outdated musical theater pieces (from vaudeville to golden age) and how to teach them in a manner appropriate to our present. She studied how to show children the challenges that the pieces present, how to create inspired art from those pieces, and how to present an audience with solutions to the problems presented.
Elya loves to travel! Her favorite destinations include Vietnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Belize.
